Tiny threads still linger Fractured dreams remain Holding fast to shadows Tasting sweet despair
wind blown leaves mingle with dust i stand motionless
Fractured dreams remain Tasting sweet despair As the memories slowly fade Replaced by other things
ripples navigate across the lake reflecting sky
As the memories slowly fade Forgetting how you feel One more chance to turn away Bleeding silent tears
letter burning glowing red edge curling ash
One more chance to turn away No more words left to say Bleeding silent tears Tiny threads still linger

this is a shokuga also known as a woven verse using both Pantoum and haiku which alternate between each other for this form. Pantoum is a Malaysian form of poetry which is highly cyclical and structured in nature...typically this would be a collaboration between two artist but for this it was a solo project...

*grin* feel free to add it to the image... i've been writing a lot of pantoum recently and haiku is for me like breathing the forms blend together rather well... i tried to make the haiku represent the four elements wind, water and fire with earth being emplied in the reading. i enjoyed writing this one.
